Qualified Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) play a central role in this process. They use evidence-based exercise interventions to address the unique needs of people with a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Anxiety and mental health disorders

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Spinal cord injuries

  • Genetic and neurological conditions

  • Intellectual and physical disabilities

By conducting thorough assessments and developing individualized programs, your NDIS exercise physiologist helps NDIS participants build strength, improve endurance, and manage symptoms effectively. Their goal is not only to improve physical health but also to build confidence, independence, and quality of life through structured, goal-oriented exercise therapy.

What's Included in Our  NDIS Physiology Services

1

Individualised Exercise Programs

Our physiology services begin with the development of customized exercise interventions that align with each participant’s unique goals, functional capacity, and health conditions. These programs are designed to provide the right balance of challenge and support, ensuring safety while promoting progress. Depending on individual needs and preferences, sessions can take place in the home, community settings, gyms, or clinical environments, offering flexibility and accessibility for all participants.

2

Functional Capacity Building

A core focus of our services is functional capacity building, which involves exercises designed to improve strength, endurance, mobility, coordination, and balance. These targeted activities help participants enhance their independence in daily living tasks, enabling them to navigate their environments more confidently. By supporting physical improvements, we aim to increase community access and encourage participation in meaningful activities.

3

Condition and Symptom Management

Our exercise prescriptions are carefully structured to assist with the management of chronic health conditions and a wide range of physical and neurological challenges. Musculoskeletal impairments, chronic pain, fatigue, and mental health concerns are addressed through exercise, which helps reduce symptoms, improve well-being, and promote overall resilience. Each program is adapted to the individual’s condition, ensuring that the exercises remain both safe and effective.

4

Education and Skill Development

We place a strong emphasis on education and skill development for participants, their families, and support workers. By teaching safe and effective exercise practices, we empower individuals to understand their bodies and take ownership of their physical health. This focus on building self-management skills encourages long-term independence, allowing participants to confidently continue physical activity beyond structured sessions.

5

Community Engagement

Beyond individual health benefits, our services also support participants in accessing and engaging with community-based exercise, sport, and recreational opportunities. By fostering involvement in these activities, we help to improve social participation, boost confidence, and contribute to a higher overall quality of life. Community engagement plays a vital role in connecting participants with others, enhancing both physical and emotional well-being.
